Second Convention Summer 2007
Published May 22nd, 2007In the spring of 2007 we tried something new, something that to our knowledge had not been attempted on such a scale before. We knew that conventions were a great deal of fun, and an excellent way to introduce businesses to their customers and each other, certainly there had been events in Second Life before but all had been focused on real world entities and events.
So the idea of Second Convention was born, the spring show was a test bed to gauge the public and business reaction and it was a success beyond or most optimistic hopes. The demand for conventions is obviously there, people want a way too showcase what they’re doing, and others want to see what these inventive folk are trying to accomplish. It’s a great way to find new and interesting things, even if you’re checking in on something you know fairly well, just stick around for another event, walk a booth over, and see something new and exciting…
Once we knew how successful it turned out to be, it was only a matter of time before we decided how often we wanted to have the convention, and when it would be, ultimately we decided on a quarterly gathering (One for every season). So it is with great pleasure that I officially announce today, Second Convention Summer 2007.
The convention will take place from Thursday June 14th 2007 - Saturday June 16th 2007, three events per day, at 3:00pm , 5:00pm, & 7:00pm PDT as before. The complete schedule will be posted shortly, but mark your calendars now.
